It had to happen eventually, I suppose.
Today was the day I sewed through my finger for the first time.
I was trying to attach some piping and the adjustable zip foot wasn’t quite in the right place, so I used my finger to drag it over a bit and…
I think I should probably buy a proper piping foot.
Have you suffered any sewing injuries over the years?
Ouch is right! Yikes! I haven’t sewn my finger yet, but my forearms and fingertips have seen their share of iron burns.

Oooh, that sounds painful! The things we go through for our hobby, huh?

On my! So sorry! The worst thing about sewing your finger is the shock and then yanking it out – which I did long ago. Double hurt! I also sewed over a pin once (never again) and a piece of the needle flew up and just missed my eye. Now I wear weak reading magnifying glasses and never sew over pins.

Oooof! That sounds scary. Glad to hear it missed you. Perhaps I should sew in gardening gloves? ๐
